Nylon Mesh Filtration and Specifications
Some laboratory filtration applications will exhibit the need for a woven monofilament type nylon filter, as opposed to a non-woven nylon membrane. Nylon Mesh has a precise mesh opening, count, and open area percentage. This woven filter material can be supplied in small to very large pore sizes not commonly seen with membranes. Tisch supplies Nylon Mesh in pore sizes ranging from 10um all the way up to 1030um. Collection of algae and cells, particle analysis, pre-filtration of solvents, paint monitoring, and large particulate filtration are just some of the many applications where nylon mesh can prove to be useful. Nylon Mesh has a softening point between 170 Degrees C and 230 Degrees C and melts typically between 210 Degrees C and 250 Degrees C. Tisch Scientific nylon mesh is produced from nylon 6/6 material.
