MCE Membrane Filters, Plain

Tisch Mixed Cellulose Ester membrane filters are produced of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate. Since our MCE membrane filters are biologically inert, it's one of the more commonly used membranes in analytical and research applications. Tisch MCE membrane filters are characterized by a smoother and more uniform surface than a pure nitrocellulose filter. The color distinction shown on the filter surface facilitates particle detection and reduces common eye fatigue.

They are known for their high protein binding, high porosity and thermal stability characteristics. They are commonly used in Microdialysis of Proteins as well as DNA, Sterilizing filtration, Air and particale monitoring, or particle removal, Microbiology Analysis, and Retention of yeasts, molds or algae.
