Quickly remove suspended solids and CO2 gas from espresso to ensure accurate, repeatable refractometer results.
Calibrating single, double, and triple espresso machines involved refractometer testing to measure the total dissolved solids in the product. In order to ensure accurate results from these tests, you must first remove all of the suspended solids that reflect rather than refract light. Once filtered, clarified samples can help operators ensure high-quality and consistent results from a given machine.
These syringe filters are designed to not only remove those suspended solids, but to remove CO2 gases from samples, as well, speeding up the testing time as those gases no longer need to diffuse out of the samples.
When operating syringes, do not apply excessive pressure. When the flow becomes slow or there becomes excessive resistance, replace the filter as it has reached maximum capacity.
These filters can be used with coffee machines to prepare samples from perforated metal or woven mesh filter machines, as well.
