Whatman Anodisc membrane filters (Anopore inorganic membranes) are aluminum oxide membranes that can be used in a wide range of laboratory applications to ensure a high level of particle removal efficiency. The unique membrane material has a non deformable honeycomb pore structure with no lateral crossovers between individual pores.
- High pore density and narrow pore size
- Hydrophilic with wide solvent compatibility
- Extremely low protein binding minimizes sample loss
- Virtually transparent when wet
- Minimal autofluorescence
Tisch Scientific supplies Whatman Anodisc filters in 13 mm, 25 mm and 47 mm diameters and 0.02, 0.1 and 0.2 pore sizes. Filters are available in packs of 50 or packs of 100.

What types of Anodisc filters are available?
Tisch Scientific supplies Whatman Anodisc filters in 13 mm, 25 mm and 47 mm diameters and 0.02, 0.1 and 0.2 pore sizes.
What are some common applications for Whatman Anodisc filters?
Common applications include liposome extrusion, HPLC mobile phase filtration and degassing, solvent cleaning and gravimetric analysis, bacterial analysis by epifluorescence light microscopy, micrometer and nanometer filtration, metal nanorods formation
Are any additives used in the manufacturing process?
No. No monomers, plasticizers, adhesives, surfactants or wetting agents are used in the manufacturing process, which eliminates sample contamination and ensures low protein binding and minimal loss of sample
Is the membrane transparent when wet?
Yes. The membrane is virtually transparent when wet, which means that retained particles do not need to be transferred to another surface before microscopic examination.
What is Anopore inorganic membrane?
Anopore inorganic membrane is composed of a high-purity alumi matrix that is manufactured electrochemically. The membrane is nontoxic, supports cellular growth and is virtually transparent when wet. The Anopore membrane is supplied in the form of Anodisc membrane filters.
