  1. Polypropylene Membrane Rolls

Polypropylene membrane rolls are a pure hydrocarbon material, which ensures safe disposal when comparing it's halogen content with other hydrophobic membrane materials such as PTFE and PVDF. Polypropylene membranes do not have to be pre-wet prior to application, reducing the need for cytotoix wetting agents that could later be extracted. This membrane material is suitable for various aqueous and organic solvent filtration applications. Due to the negligible protein binding this membrane material offers they are efficient in providing maximum sample recovery.
  2. PTFE Membrane Rolls

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane rolls are highly stable, chemically inert and naturally hydrophobic proving them to be suitable for HPLC analysis. PTFE is the most efficient membrane for handling organic solvents, strong acids and alkalis. This Membrane Roll material can handle temperatures up to 120 degrees celsius and is recommended for detecting presences of corrosives, aggresive solvents and fluids in HPLC analysis.

  3. Nylon Membrane Rolls

Nylon membrane rolls are a strong, durable, tear resistant and hydrophilic material suitable for use with a variety of biological preparations where other membranes prove to difficult to handle. Nylon is resistant to wear and tear and high temperatures. These nylon membrane rolls can handle temperatures of 180 degrees celsius. They are widely utilized in industries involving filtration of organic and aqueous mobile phases, microbiological media, tissue culture media solutions, buffers and vacuum degassing.
  4. Glass Fiber Membrane Rolls

Glass fiber membrane rolls are very popular for applications that require a membrane that can handle high dirt loading capacity. This hydrophilic membrane material has great compatibility with organic solvents and strong acids. Glass fiber membrane material can handle rigourous and viscous samples that tend to clog most other materials on the market. They are widely used in the environmental, biotechnology, food/beverage and agricultural industries.
  5. PVDF Membrane Rolls

PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) membrane rolls are microporous and known to exhibit high efficency for applications requiring particulate removal. They are naturally hydrophobic and do not dampen with aqueous fluids. Their wide chemical compatibility, high temperature resistance and low starting resistance makes them the most widely used membranes in the off shore oil, plumbing and chemical process industries. PVDF is good to use with alcohols, proteins, weak acids, peptides, and other biomolecules while it must be avoided with strong acids, bases, ethers and ketones.
  6. MCE Membrane Rolls

MCE (Mixed Cellulose Ester) Rolls are comprised of both cellulose acetate (CA) and cellulose nitrate (CN). These rolls are biologically inert and commonly used for analytical applications. They provide a more uniform surface than pure nitrocellulose material. Mixed Cellulose Ester Rolls are commonly used in the microdialysis of proteins, as well as DNA, air particulate monitoring and microbiology analysis applications.
